  • "Afternoon on Carmel Bay" 24" x 48"
This commissioned painting came about when a precious lady (now a very close friend), came into our gallery. She desired to have a beautiful painting for her home. We went with her to the location where she and her husband had taken walks together for more than 20 years. We were invited to her home and a special size was determined to go perfectly over her beautiful livingroom fireplace. In the painting, Point Lobos is on the left and Pebble Beach is on the right.

    Original: $8900.00 SOLD    M/P: $3400.00    M/E: $2800.00
  • “Angels Cove” 18" x 24"
This location is taken from Big Sur with lighting so vivid and intense that it just had to be painted. This painting was a wedding gift for our oldest daughter, Sherrie and her husband, Tony. It holds a very special place in my heart, even years after its completion, and also, because it is in their home.

    Original: $4800.00 SOLD
  • “Breakers at Big Sur” 16" x 20"
The waves are remnants after a storm had passed through Big Sur. The sky has cleared in the background and the waves are rich in color. It was an incredible day.

    Original: $4200.00     M/P: $1800.00    M/E: $1200.00
  • “Clear Skies Ahead” 24" x 36"
After developing a respect for, and seeing the awesomeness of the clipper ship, I embarked on a passionate pursuit and study of these tall majestic wonders. I began my first clipper painting and by the time it was finished, my focus and passion for them had increased all the more. This clipper is called "The Lightning" and was built by Donald MacKay in Boston in the early 1850's. It represents the "clear skies ahead" for us, as we put our trust in God through the various storms and trials of life.

    Original: $9500.00 SOLD    M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Coming Through the Storm” 30" x 40"
I had this incredible and dramatic image deep inside of me. It was so vivid that I worked and reworked this painting many times to reproduce the lighting and color impact that I desired to achieve. The light is breaking through the clouds, going deep and illuminating the darkened water and moving up the ship's massive sails. With the clipper ship just pushing through an intense storm, I used blue sky to show the breaking up of the storm and mauve in the sky and waves that showed the remnant of the storm. The message is that if we will persevere and trust God even in the toughest times of our life, we will "come through the storm."

    Original: $18500.00     M/P: $8500.00    M/E: $5800.00
  • “Emerald Bay-Lake Tahoe” 20" x 36"
The captivating view of Emerald Bay had me standing in awe of its peacefulness and tranquility so that it wasn't long before I knew it had to be painted. It was painted in May and the snow was just starting to recede, revealing the beautiful green in the trees and of course the 'emerald' of the bay as the center of attention with lighting of the mid-afternoon. This was a painting where minute detail was an absolute requirement to truly represent this incredible sight on canvas. Later, my family and I moved to Lake Tahoe and we were able to continually experience all the beauty that was before us.

    Original: $6800.00     M/P: $2600.00    M/E: $1800.00
  • “Evening on Monterey” 24" x 36"
This incredible location is on Monterey Bay, just past Lovers Point, looking north toward Santa Cruz. The waves are full and active but breaking gently onto the warm, sandy shore. The color of the water and foam was so clear and rich on that late afternoon.

    Original: $8500.00    M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Hawaiian Sunset” 24" x 36"
This painting came together as I searched for the perfect material to help me to begin and complete the image that I envisioned on the inside of me. Even after I had the elements of the waves, beach and island cliffs of Kauai, I knew that the sky was going to be a very important part of this painting. When the last paint stroke was completed, the sense of fulfillment easily brought an inner satisfaction and a smile.

    Original: $12500.00 SOLD    M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Incline Beach-Lake Tahoe” 24" x 36"
Even before my family and I were blessed by moving to Lake Tahoe, I had already begun painting its beautiful natural wonders. I studied this scene about March of that year with the snow just starting to recede on the tall mountains. The rocks on the beach are actually the only rocks on this sandy shoreline and they appear to divide Incline Beach to the left and Ski Beach to the right. Under certain weather conditions, the color of the lake can be very clear and a vivid turquoise further enhances the beauty of Incline Beach-Lake Tahoe.

    Original: $8500.00     M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Inspiration Point” 24" x 36"
When nature shows incredible changes in weather and atmosphere, and with very striking powerful combinations of color and light, it causes us to stand in awe and amazement. I wanted to capture one of those amazing scenes onto canvas. The coloration of the water and the light on the rocks was so evident at that very moment. Nature will never cease to astound us when we stop and take time to relax and focus on God's creations.

    Original: $5600.00 SOLD    M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Monterey-Glorious Evening” 24" x 36"
After coming so many times to the Monterey Peninsula, I knew this scene just had to be painted. With Big Sur in the background and a breathtaking, evening sky, it was a beautiful marriage onto canvas. The sun's rays radiated through the cloud formation with the light coming through the wave and down to the moving foam on the wet sand.

    Original: $8500.00     M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Mountain Paradise” 24" x 40"
This painting is a collection of different locations. In the background, are snow-covered mountain peeks and a lower mountain range with trees, surrounding a beautiful clear lake. A waterfall feeds into the mouth of the lake, as the water moves slowly toward the rocks in the foreground and begins its cascading descent down the mountain. I had envisioned this scene for some time before the painting actually began. I hope the peacefulness that I had from the very beginning of the painting is also felt by those who view this piece.

    Original: $9600.00     M/P: $3700.00    M/E: $2900.00
  • “Paradise Cove & The Lightning” 24" x 36"
I envisioned this scene while in the process of gathering my reference material to begin a painting of the Big Sur cliffs and the very majestic clipper ship, “The Lightning.” I then searched for the perfect sky to set a very dramatic atmosphere for this entire painting. Soon, all the elements came together and then the painting began.

    Original: $9200.00     M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00
  • “Safe Passage” 24" x 40"
This original painting was created especially for my church. It represents the difficult times that we go through in life, illustrated by the high cliffs. And by “trusting the light,” our faithful God will bring us through. In the larger rock on the beach, a cross was painted in the cracks and crevasses that actually points toward the light.

    Original: $4800.00 SOLD    M/P: $3200.00    M/E: $2400.00 (also available in 18" x 24" for $2400.00 M/P and $1600.00 M/E)
  • “Sailing on Monterey Bay” 18" x 24"
Upon arriving to the Monterey Peninsula, you can see the sailboats out on the bay. It is such a breathtaking scene as they seem to glide so peacefully through the water. Within a short time, I took photos of the bay with the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Monterey Wharf and Monterey Bay Aquarium in the background. I painted a 1930's ‘woody’ yacht sailing quietly along with a few others on an incredible afternoon.

    Original: $4800.00 SOLD    M/P: $2400.00    M/E: $1600.00
  • “Sounding Waves at Big Sur” 18" x 36"
This location is just before you reach the tall, towering cliff area at Big Sur. The sky has a lot of movement, reflected in the action of the surf below. I tried to capture the motion and direction of the foam on the sloping, sandy beach. When you actually witness a scene like this, it is not easily forgotten.

    Original: $5800.00    M/P: $2400.00    M/E: $1600.00
  • “Sunset at Big Sur” 20" x 36"
I had always wanted to do a dramatic sunset painting of Big Sur. I was commissioned by a wonderful family in Carmel for such a painting to fit in a special area over their fireplace and this was the result. I believe it shows a breathtaking scene and atmosphere representing one of California’s greatest coastlines.

    Original: $5600.00 SOLD    M/P: $2200.00    M/E: $1800.00
  • “Sunset at Pacific Grove” 16" x 20"
This moment in time took place at a Pacific Grove beach on the Monterey Bay. The sky’s coloration was so incredible that I knew that it had to be captured on canvas. This late afternoon experience was so breathtaking that I tried so diligently to do justice to what had captivated me.

    Original: $4200.00    M/P: $1800.00    M/E: $1200.00
  • “Trusting the Light” 18" x 24"
This is an actual lighthouse, “Cape Disappointment,” which is located in the state of Washington near the mouth of the Columbia River. Interestingly, this was my first original painting that sold in a large gallery in Carmel. The collector that purchased this painting walked into the gallery, recognized the lighthouse and said that he had stood in the exact location that I had painted and he purchased the painting. The setting is with towering cliffs, a majestic lighthouse and a clipper ship. This was the first of my lighthouse paintings.

    Original: $4200.00 SOLD    M/P: $2400.00    M/E: $1600.00
